Gustodo ("We", "Us", or "Our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used, shared, and protected when you use the Gustodo mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "App" or "Service").

By downloading, accessing, or using this App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with a better experience and to operate our services, we collect the following types of information:

1.1. Information You Provide

Account Information: The email address, password, and name (if any) you provide when registering or logging into the App.
User Content: Your tasks, goals, habits, notes, and focus (pomodoro) data that you add within the App.

1.2. Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFV), and language preferences.
Usage Data: How you interact with the App, screens visited, time spent in the App, and click data.
Error and Performance Data: App crash logs and performance metrics.

1.3. Financial Information

Your in-app purchases (such as the Gustodo+ subscription) are processed directly through Apple (App Store). We do not have direct access to, nor do we store, your payment information such as credit card numbers. We only track your purchase status (whether a subscription is active).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

To create, manage, and secure your account.
To synchronize your tasks and habits across your devices and store them securely in the cloud.
To verify and manage your purchases and Gustodo+ subscription status.
To provide reminders, notifications, and updates (e.g., push notifications for uncompleted tasks).
To monitor app performance, detect and resolve bugs, and improve the overall user experience.
To fulfill our legal obligations and prevent potential abuse.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. However, to provide the service, we may share your data with trusted service providers (third-party services):

Google / Firebase:
- Firebase Authentication: Used for user login and authentication processes.
- Firebase Firestore: Ensures your tasks, habits, and other in-app data are securely stored in the cloud.
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used to anonymously analyze app usage data and report crashes.

RevenueCat:

Apple:

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your personal data and user content are retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the services.

Right to Delete Account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Settings > Delete Account" (or similar) option within the App. When your account is deleted, all your tasks, habits, and credentials stored in the cloud (Firestore) are irreversibly deleted. (However, if you have an active subscription initiated through Apple, you must cancel it in your Apple ID settings).

5. Data Security

The security of your information is extremely important to us. Industry-standard encryption methods (SSL/TLS) are used when your data is transmitted and stored in the cloud (Firebase). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age limit in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we immediately delete this information from our servers.

7. Your Rights (Under GDPR / CCPA)

Our users have the following rights regarding their data:

The right to access and request a copy of your data.
The right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
The right to request the deletion of your data (via the in-app account deletion feature).

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When any changes are made, the updated policy will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised. We may notify you of significant changes via in-app notifications.
